Who are we?
Background of the Skills & Jobs Academy
Skills and Jobs Academy is consistently establishing a specialized Training Institute network to deliver enterprise-level digital and technical skills to Bangladesh’s emerging workforce. This initiative aims to address the growing disparity between labor market demands and the practical skills of job seekers. Our focusing area are:
With the support of development partners such as the World Bank, swisscontact, the International Labor Organization (ILO), and other funding agencies, the institute is giving training to youth and professionals over three years, ensuring their successful transition into sustainable employment.
Business Objectives
Addressing the Skills Gap
One of Bangladesh’s key labor market challenges is the gap between academic qualifications and industry needs. Many graduates lack practical experience, current tech skills, and soft skills. The institute addresses this by providing practical, employer-validated training aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), developed in collaboration with ICT companies and sector associations to meet local and international employer demands.
Enabling Sustainable Employment
Unlike project-based or one-off training initiatives, this institute operates as a continuous, year-round hub for talent development and job placement. With embedded career services, mentorship, and a digital platform, it ensures that training translates into real employment or income generation. By focusing on skills in high demand, such as software engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, the institute directly contributes to reducing youth unemployment and increasing average earnings, especially among first-time job seekers and disadvantaged groups.
Certification
We will provide a certificate after completing a selective training course. The right of choosing the course which is certifiable belongs to SSDI authority.
Employability and Entrepreneurship
Beyond technical skills, the institute develops the professional readiness and entrepreneurial potential of its learners.
